Roofs and farm tanks often have no socket. Pulling a mains cable up for a small indicator is a poor reason to involve an electrician, and pulling a signal cable down to the pump room is the job people are trying to skip. Solar water level monitoring on Water Gauge is the answer the level manager page gives: a panel in direct sun, a unit that shows it has power, a SIM already fitted, and the level on the Android app. The phrase "without wiring" needs a boundary, or it becomes false.
The cable that remains
The sensor is in the water. The page says to connect it to the level manager with the supplied cable, and to protect that connection from water and weather. That is wiring. It is short, and it lives at the tank. What you do not run is a multi-storey cable so a box downstairs can see the same level. The downstairs view is the app, and the path is the mobile network. If you need a wall box with lamps in the pump room, the site does not describe one. The status LED or display mentioned is on the level manager itself, for power.
Cellular coverage is the replacement for that long cable. No signal, no remote reading. Check a phone at the tank. The operator is not named. Solar does not create signal.
What the solar panel is not powering
It is not powering the borewell motor. It is not described with a wattage. It is not given a number of backup days. The install text says ample sunlight, direct sun through the day, and a connection that keeps the level manager running, confirmed by the LED or display. Repeat those conditions. Do not add a battery spec. If a buyer needs backup hours, that is a question for a demo, and the answer should be written down only after it is given.
The motor controller is mains-powered with an AC adapter. Adding pump control means you have accepted wiring at the starter. You have not accepted a long level cable. The full wireless water automation system includes that controller when the motor must start and stop. Monitoring alone does not switch the pump. Overflow will continue if the motor is independent. See stopping overflow.
Where skipping the long cable matters
A finished apartment shaft, a hotel roof, and a farm tank away from the shed are the usual reasons. A house with an easy conduit may not feel the same pain, and a wired indicator can still be reasonable. Wireless versus wired is that comparison. Industrial tanks follow the same devices, with a stricter starter conversation, on the industrial page.
Installation is still a visit. Mount the sensor clear of obstructions, connect it, aim the panel, open the app, move the water or wait for it to move, and confirm a notification at a chosen level. Those are the level manager steps. They are not a self-install claim.
Ask with the roof conditions
Sun, signal, number of tanks, and whether the motor must switch. Call +91 70004 65454 or the contact page. No price is published. The office is in Indore, Scheme No 140, above PNB, near Pipliyahana Road. Email support@watergauge.in. Read how it works and the FAQ. The Android package is com.waterguage.water_guage. Synetal Solutions Pvt Ltd is the company named on the home page. An iPhone app is not described, so "monitor from any phone" would be wider than the site.
If you remember only one correction to the phrase "without wiring", remember the sensor cable and the starter cable. The long level cable is the one this design drops, and only when the mobile network is actually present at the tank. Walk up with your own phone before you book the visit. Stand where the panel would go. If the call drops, tell that to Water Gauge in the first message. A solar unit cannot be blamed later for a coverage problem you could have heard. If the call is clear and the sun is open, the level manager page is the right installation script, and the free estimate can be for monitoring alone or for monitoring plus the motor controller. Those are different amounts of wiring, and the quote should show the difference instead of hiding it inside one package name.
Tell the installer you want the long cable avoided, not every wire on earth. Repeat the sensor cable and the starter cable out loud so nobody is surprised on the day. If you only bought monitoring, do not expect the motor to stop. If you bought both, the quote should list the solar level manager and the mains-powered controller as separate lines. That list is how you check you were sold wireless water automation and not a single box with a new name.
