Solar Water Level Monitoring

Solar water level monitoring on Water Gauge is the level manager and its panel at the tank, plus the sensor and the Android app. The motor controller uses mains power.

Check sun and signal first

Tell us whether the tank has daylight and mobile signal. This opens WhatsApp, or call +91 70004 65454.

Solar water level monitoring means the device at the tank does not need a mains socket on the roof. The level manager page says to choose a place with sunlight for the panel, to put the panel where it gets direct sun through the day, and to connect that panel so the manager can keep running. You then check a status LED or display to see that it is powered. That is the solar part Water Gauge describes. It does not publish panel wattage, battery capacity, or how many cloudy days the unit will ride through. Those numbers are not on the site, so this page will not invent them.

What is being monitored

The sensor sits in the tank or reservoir and sends the level to the level manager. The sensor page calls the readings continuous and real-time, and it calls the sensor waterproof and maintenance-free. You mount it at the level you care about, clear of obstructions, using the supplied hardware. The cable stays between the sensor and the level manager. From there the level goes to the Android app. The level manager steps say the SIM is already in the unit, and that the tank should be within cellular coverage. Solar does not replace the mobile network. If the roof has sun but no signal, the app will not get the reading, which is why the install notes mention both.

In the app you confirm that the number or the display moves when the water moves, and that a notification arrives when a level you set is reached. The home page also lists real-time monitoring as a reason the system exists. The app page says you can watch tanks, reservoirs, or other storage without walking up to look. More than one device can be monitored. A cap on that number is not published.

Solar monitoring is not the pump switch

The controller at the motor is powered from an AC adapter. If you want solar water level monitoring only, you are talking about the level manager, the sensor, and the app. If you also want the pump to start and stop, that is the controller, and it is a mains-powered device at the starter. The full set is the wireless water automation system. Keeping the two power sources straight avoids a quote that puts a solar panel in the pump room or a mains cable on a roof that does not have one.

People also ask whether solar monitoring can stop an overflow. The level and the alert are what the level manager test describes. Stopping the motor is what the controller test describes. Both are needed if the goal is for the pump to switch off when the tank is full. Read overflow control for that distinction, and monitoring without a long cable for the wireless part.

Where a solar unit helps

A roof tank often has no socket, or the socket is inconvenient and unsafe in the rain. A farm tank can be far from the meter. The level manager's requirement is sunlight and a sensor cable to the tank, plus mobile signal. A house, a society, a farm, a hotel, or an industrial store can all use the same level manager. Water Gauge has not published a different solar model for each building type.

Installation still needs a person at the tank: mount the sensor, connect it, aim the panel at the sun, and prove the app. The level manager page lists those steps in order, including a final check that notifications fire. It does not say the unit installs itself.
