Your WaterGauge app.
One step at a time.
From your first login to pump controls and water reports, follow the screens at your own pace.
Choose a topic.
See the screens. Follow the steps.
Login with your mobile number
Start here for an existing account or a new account.
Follow these steps
- 1
Open WaterGauge, enter your mobile number and tap Send OTP.
- 2
Enter the six-digit code on Verify OTP, then tap Verify. The app may read the SMS automatically.
- 3
Use the edit icon if the number is incorrect. Use Resend Code when its timer ends.
- 4
Existing users reach Home. New users continue to the signup screen.
Keep access to your registered phone number. These screens show the SMS login flow.
Create your WaterGauge account
Complete signup after your phone number has been verified.
Follow these steps
- 1
Enter First Name and Last Name. A title is optional.
- 2
Tap Create Account and wait for Home to open.
- 3
For your first tank, tap Add New Tank or the + icon in the bottom navigation.
Home starts with an empty tank list. Added tanks appear as cards after setup.
Find and add your device
Bluetooth discovers the hardware; Wi-Fi or GSM provides its internet connection.
Follow these steps
- 1
Power on the WaterGauge device. Open Add New Tank or + and keep your phone nearby.
- 2
Enable Bluetooth, allow the requested nearby-device/location permissions and tap Scan.
- 3
Tap the matching device under Available Devices. Check its name or ID.
- 4
Enter a recognizable Device Name, then select WiFi or GSM.
To add a pump controller, open its tank first and tap Add Motor Controller. This links the controller to the selected tank.
Connect using Wi-Fi
Use a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that reaches your installed hardware.
Follow these steps
- 1
After Bluetooth discovery, choose WiFi. Select a network if a list appears, or enter its name (SSID).
- 2
Enter the Wi-Fi password and check the device name. Select an existing tank when that option is shown.
- 3
Tap the connect button. In this sensor screen it is labeled Connect Controller; the role is LevelManager (Sensor).
- 4
Keep your phone nearby until Tank Added! appears. Tap Back to home and check the tank card.
Sensor setup creates or links a tank. Add the pump controller separately through Add Motor Controller.
Connect using GSM
Use the device SIM and cellular signal instead of Wi-Fi.
Follow these steps
- 1
Scan and connect over Bluetooth, then choose GSM and confirm the device name.
- 2
Tap Confirm in Connect via GSM? and complete any SIM/connectivity-plan prompt.
- 3
Wait for configuration and the server connection to finish. Keep the setup flow open while it processes.
- 4
Tap Back to home after success. Open the tank and check the device or controller connection status.
These screens show a motor controller linked to a tank. For a compatible tank sensor, start from Add New Tank. GSM requires cellular coverage and valid SIM connectivity.
View your tanks and their details
Home gives a quick overview. Tap a card to open that tank.
Follow these steps
- 1
Open Home. Each card shows its tank name, water percentage and available network/battery indicators.
- 2
Tap a tank to see its water percentage and Last Reading time.
- 3
Check the controller status below the gauge before using pump controls.
- 4
Use the back arrow to return to your tank list, or the chart icon for that tank’s water report.
An old reading time can mean the device has stopped updating. Check connectivity before relying on the displayed level.
Set tank measurements and thresholds
Enter actual tank dimensions before using volume estimates and automation.
Follow these steps
- 1
In Tank Details, tap Set Water Tank Height. Choose 1000 L, 2000 L or 5000 L, or use the pencil for a custom capacity.
- 2
Select the actual tank height in Feet, then tap Set Tank Height.
- 3
Tap Auto water level change setting. Choose a lower ON percentage and a higher OFF percentage.
- 4
Tap Set Water Level. For example, ON 10% / OFF 90% defines an automatic filling range.
The Alert Threshold screen shown here sets automatic motor thresholds, not a separate notification-only setting. Keep ON below OFF.
Choose Auto or Manual mode
Choose how the linked motor is operated.
Follow these steps
- 1
Open Tank Details and confirm that the controller is linked and active.
- 2
Set the ON/OFF levels, then tap Auto.
- 3
Tap Yes to confirm. Auto uses your configured water levels for motor control.
- 4
To operate the pump yourself, tap Manual and confirm if prompted. Then use ON/OFF.
An installed, commissioned controller is required for motor control. If Auto is locked, check the plan shown in the app.
Turn your motor ON or OFF
Use these controls while the tank is in Manual mode.
Follow these steps
- 1
Open Tank Details, select Manual and confirm that the controller is active.
- 2
Tap ON to start the motor. Wait for the updated status and Motor ON confirmation.
- 3
Tap OFF to stop the motor. Wait for the Motor OFF confirmation.
- 4
Review the selected button and notification list for the command result.
Let each command finish before tapping again. If the controller is offline or its status does not update, check the hardware before assuming the pump changed state.
Motor history and notifications
Review runtime history and tank or motor alerts.
Follow these steps
- 1
Tap the blue history/clock icon beside ON/OFF in Tank Details.
- 2
Review elapsed runtime, last run, average fill time, session count and marked anomalies. Scroll for recent runs.
- 3
Tap refresh to update runtime data. An anomaly indicates a run that differs from the recent baseline.
- 4
From Home, tap the bell to see low/full alerts and motor ON/OFF events with timestamps.
A runtime anomaly is a prompt to investigate, not a diagnosis. Clear All removes notification history only when you choose it.
View and export water reports
Review usage in the calendar tab and create a report with the download icon.
Follow these steps
- 1
Tap the calendar tab to review each tank’s Today, This Week and This Month usage totals.
- 2
View Daily Water Use and tap a day to inspect its value. Scroll for more tanks; use refresh to reload.
- 3
Tap download at the top right. Wait for the PDF and choose where to save or share it.
- 4
Open the saved report and check its month and tank names. Data Export access may depend on your plan.
Usage is estimated from tank-level changes. Export normally uses the previous month and tries the current month if needed. No recorded data means no export.
Choose English or Hindi
Find language and account settings in Profile.
Follow these steps
- 1
Tap the profile/person icon in the bottom navigation.
- 2
Tap Language.
- 3
Choose English or Hindi. A check mark indicates the selected language.
- 4
Return to Home to see labels in your selected language.
Profile also includes GSM Connectivity Recharge, Support, How it Work and Logout. Feature access can depend on your active account plan.
