Water Tank Automation for Homes

For a house, Water Gauge is usually one overhead tank, one motor, the solar level manager on the roof, and the controller at the starter, with the Android app on the family's phone.

A home water problem is repetitive. The overhead tank fills from a motor, someone forgets it, and water runs over the terrace. Or the tank is empty when someone wants a shower, and the motor is in a yard the family cannot see from the kitchen. Wireless water automation is aimed at that gap. The sensor goes in the tank. The level manager stays on the roof with its solar panel and the SIM that is already fitted. The controller stays downstairs at the starter, on an AC adapter. The Android app is what the household looks at.

A typical house layout

Many houses have the tank on the roof and the starter near the ground, sometimes beside a borewell. Running a signal cable between those two points means drilling, conduit, and a cable that fails in the rain. Water Gauge's wireless path is the mobile network from the level manager, which is why the install notes ask for cellular signal at the tank and sunlight for the panel. The sensor cable only has to reach the level manager. The controller cable only has to reach the starter.

The home page describes the outcome in plain language: see the level, control the pump remotely, get alerts, and set a schedule. For a family that is enough to stop the evening argument about whether the tank was filled. It is not a promise about litres per day saved. The site says the purpose includes saving water. It does not publish a measured saving for a house.

Who holds the phone

In a house the app is usually on one or two phones. The product page says the app shows the level and can turn the pump on or off depending on that level. It also says you can do this when you are away. That matters when the person who normally watches the tank is at work. The site says more than one device can be monitored. It does not explain a family sharing login. Ask that on the demo if more than one person must be able to switch the motor.

Alerts are described as notifications when a level is reached. For a home, the useful ones are "tank is full, stop filling" and "tank is low, start filling", but the website does not list the exact alert names. The level manager test simply says the app should notify you when certain levels are reached. Set those with the installer and test them once, which is already step 6 on the level manager page.

What to check before you order

Sun on the roof for the panel. Mobile signal at the tank. A starter you are allowed to connect to, using the relay method if it is a submersible starter, or the starter maker's method if it is not. A tank you can open to mount the sensor, clear of fittings that would block the reading. If the motor is a borewell submersible, read farms and borewells as well. Houses and farms often share that motor type even when the building is different.

You do not need a separate home model. Water Gauge has not published one. The solar monitoring page is the roof half. The pump controller page is the starter half. Order both if you want the motor to follow the tank, not only a reading.

Cost and contact

There is no home price on the site. A quote needs the number of tanks and whether the controller is included. Start with a free estimate or the form on this page. Call +91 70004 65454. The office address is in Indore, Scheme No 140, above PNB, near Pipliyahana Road, Madhya Pradesh 452016. Email support@watergauge.in. Other cities are not listed yet.

Synetal Solutions Pvt Ltd is the company named on the home page, with Manoj Malviya as CEO in the news text. That is the organisation behind Water Gauge. It is not a review, and this page does not add customer stories that the site does not already contain.

A simple home test after installation

Run the motor from the app while someone watches the tank, or while you watch the level on the phone. Stop it from the app before the overflow pipe runs, and also let the automatic command do that stop once, so you have seen both. Check that a notification arrived. This is the same pair of tests the level manager page and the controller page already ask for. It takes one filling cycle. It does not need a lab. If the level does not appear, check sun on the panel and mobile signal at the tank before you assume the sensor is wrong. If the level appears but the motor does not move, the controller or the starter connection is the place to look, not the solar panel. Keep the overflow pipe in place. The app is a command path, not a replacement for that pipe. When the test passes, the household knows who is allowed to keep the app, which is a decision the website leaves to you.
