A borewell motor sits down the bore. The starter sits in a shed or on a wall. The tank that receives the water may be an overhead tank near the house or a ground tank in the field. Automating that motor means the starter can be told to run or stop without someone holding the button, and ideally that the decision follows the tank. Water Gauge splits those jobs. The controller talks to the starter. The level manager and sensor talk about the tank. The Android app is where you see both. The whole arrangement is wireless water automation when both halves are installed.
Start with the starter, not the bore
The controller install notes say to place the unit near the starter, dry, protected from water and dust, and powered from an AC adapter. They then split the wiring. For a relay-based system, connect to the submersible motor's starter using the relay connections, and check the relay output. For any other starter, follow the manufacturer's instructions and confirm compatibility. Many borewell motors are submersible, so the first case is the one to show your electrician. It is still a check, not a universal adaptor. If your panel is not a simple relay starter, say so before the visit. The page expects that conversation.
Do not open a starter from a blog post. The person who already maintains that panel should make the connection, using the notes above. Water Gauge does not publish a photograph of every starter brand.
The tank is a different place
The sensor is mounted in the tank or reservoir, not described as a probe dropped down the bore to measure water column in the well. If you need bore water level rather than tank level, this product page does not document that sensor. Say so, and do not buy the tank sensor expecting it to see the bore. Dry running of a borewell is often about the bore, not the tank. The protection Water Gauge describes is: know the tank level, get a notification at a level you set, and be able to switch the motor off through the controller. If that is not the dry-run story you need, the estimate should say the gap instead of stretching the sensor page.
The level manager is solar and needs sun and mobile signal at the tank. A farm tank far from the shed is exactly why the level does not travel on a long cable. It also fails if there is no cellular coverage. Check the phone at the tank. The SIM is already in the level manager. The controller's power is still the AC adapter at the shed, where the motor supply already exists.
What you do in the app
Pair the app with the controller and confirm the connection. Turn the motor on and off by hand. Then test automatic control, which the controller page asks for. The home page adds schedules and thresholds for on and off. The level manager page asks you to confirm notifications. A borewell owner who is away from the shed is the person the app page is written for: operate the pump depending on the level, without standing at the switch. An offline guarantee when the network is down is not published.
More than one tank means more than one monitoring point. Count them. There is no published price per bore or per tank. Cost factors stay qualitative on purpose.
A short checklist before you call
Is the motor submersible? Is the starter a relay starter? Where is the tank, and does a phone have signal there? Is there sun for a panel? Do you want the motor to stop when that tank is full, or only a reading? Call +91 70004 65454 or use the contact page. The office is in Indore, Scheme No 140. Read farms and borewells, the pump controller, and the FAQ. How it works puts the same devices in order. Synetal Solutions Pvt Ltd is the company named on the home page. The app package is com.waterguage.water_guage.
After a successful test, the farm still needs a habit. Someone should look at the app when the motor is running, at least until the notification and the stop command have been seen more than once. The overflow pipe or the tank's outlet stays as the physical backup. The bore itself is still the bore: if it runs dry, the tank sensor will not announce that until the tank stops rising, which is a different signal. Mention that limit to anyone else on the farm who will use the phone. For the estimate, send the village name, the starter type, and whether you need tank level, motor control, or both. The Indore office can then say if a visit is possible. A blog post cannot dispatch a technician.
