Overflow is wasted water and a wet facade. An empty tank is a complaint at the front desk. Staff cannot live on the roof. The useful system shows the level to engineering and can stop or start the filling motor. Why a finished hotel dislikes a new cable
The tank is on the roof. The starter is often in a basement or a service yard. A signal cable through a finished guest building is disruptive. Water Gauge's level path uses the mobile network from the solar unit at the tank, so the roof needs sun and cellular signal. The sensor cable stays at the tank. The controller wiring stays at the starter and uses an AC adapter. Engineering owns both locations. Housekeeping does not. The site does not describe a guest app or a lobby screen. Do not promise either in a sales meeting.
Alerts when a level is reached are part of the level manager test. Who gets them is whoever holds the app. Front office may want to know the tank is healthy. Engineering may be the only team allowed to switch a motor. Roles are not described in the product pages. Ask whether a view-only login exists. If it does not, limit the phones that install the app. Announcing "every department can control the pump" would go beyond the site.
More than one tank is normal
Domestic water, a separate laundry or kitchen store, and sometimes a reserve. Count them. Multiple devices can be monitored. One sensor is not described as serving two tanks. A fire pump is not discussed on the site. Do not attach the controller to fire-fighting equipment based on this guide. The next shift should not learn the system from a vendor brochure. If laundry and rooms share one tank, one test covers that tank.
